My Toy males weigh between 4.0 and 6.0 pounds but they are not considered tiny toys, they are true toys. My Toy females weigh between 3.5 and 7 pounds. I do not breed every season so I may only have two or three litters per year. Size is difficult in the Toys. Most pups bred for toy size actually turn out to be 10 - 11 inches and weigh 5 - 9 pounds as adults.
The price for my pet puppies is usually $900.00 plus transportation costs. However, I really do not like shipping and would prefer that a new owner see the puppy and its parents. I live in Maine so I understand distance problems. It is just hard on little puppies to endure shipping conditions. I will ship if necessary. Maine law does not allow puppies to be sold before they are 8 weeks old. Sometimes it is unclear whether or not I am going to keep a puppy for show so I may keep a litter until they are as much as 6 months old. Each puppy whether or not they stay is treated as part of the family. A 6 month old puppy is as precious as an 8 week old one.
From time to time I may have a show potential puppy that I may make available to an approved kennel.
For current litters I can send you a copy of the parents pedigree and pictures of puppies when born. All breeding dogs have been tested for genetic problems inherent in this breed and have been found to be free of those problems. I require that all pet puppies be spayed/ neutered. They are sold as pets/companions only. Puppies come with AKC registration form (sent with proof of spay/neuter), a copy of their pedigree, receiving blanket, soft toy, a small ball, a chew stick, Bil Jac puppy food, health record and are up to date on all shots and wormings. Males come with a Belly Band (http://decotogs.com/) to aid in training.

All of my babies run free in our home which makes it interesting whenever people stop by to visit but I love them and they are part of our family. This also socializes them quite well. They learn to live with people, other dogs and even our cat. Breed standard for poodles can be found by accessing http://www.poodleclubofamerica.org/orhttp://www.akc.org/ and following the links provided.
For a long time I thought I only wanted female dogs but since having males I have learned that they are just as sweet and wonderful. Each poodle has its own personality. They are all special. I breed for black, brown, silver & blue toys.
